Our Story
NostaliTech was born from more than just an idea; it was born from a personal journey. In 2023, while I was working at Sterling Bank, I was living the classic banker’s life: long hours, endless high targets, carrying the weight of family and societal expectations. On the outside, I looked fine, but inside I felt trapped and depressed. Life had become a cage, and in my struggle to cope, I turned to escapes that numbed the pain without fixing it. Marijuana and other distractions. Anything to quiet the noise. But the truth was inescapable: I was losing myself more and more.
One night, while searching for better ways to find balance, something unexpected happened. I came across the Retroboy Supreme Handheld Console. At first, it was pure nostalgia, memories of gathering with the boys in Junior High, taking turns with Mortal Kombat, Crash Bandicoot, Mario, and racing through Need for Speed. The moment I powered it on and heard the familiar sounds, something shifted. Those games weren’t just entertainment; they were a time machine. They carried me back to childhood, a time when life was lighter, joy was natural, and anxiety hadn’t yet crept in.
Playing became more than entertainment. Each game during work breaks, commutes, and personal travels became a mirror for life: every tough level reminded me that no challenge is unbeatable with focus, strategy, resilience, and determination. Slowly, this little console became my therapy. It helped me trade harmful habits for healthier escapes, rebuild balance, and rediscover the champion within.
That was the spark that birthed NostaliTech.
Today, NostaliTech exists to give Nigerians, Africans, and RetroTech lovers worldwide the same gift: a way to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with the best version of themselves through nostalgia.

Meet Our Founder
Behind NostaliTech is Akinyemi Akinnuoye, a banker turned builder with a simple belief: tech should feel human again.
After years in business and digital culture, he realized most tech was chasing trends, not meaning. People were left overwhelmed, not empowered. NostaliTech became his answer — a brand that puts clarity over clutter, purpose over profit, and joy over hype.
For Akinyemi, every product is more than a gadget. It’s a reset button — a chance to pause, recharge, and rediscover balance in the middle of a noisy world. And just as importantly, it’s a way to give back: making sure every purchase creates ripple effects of hope and second chances.
His vision is simple but powerful:
Tech that heals. Tech that lasts. Tech that matters.
Because to him, NostaliTech isn’t just a store.
It’s a movement to remind us all that you can always Press Start Again.
